YWR Retreat Feb. 2-3;
Speaker: Karen Lippert

    Registration deadline for the Young Women's Retreat Feb. 2-3 at the Fox Hills Resort was Jan. 1.
The committee will work to accommodate late registrants if rooms are available, but the cost will be at regular resort prices and include tax.
    Check-in registration at Fox Hills is from 5-7 p.m. Welcoming songs begin at 6 p.m., and the retreat will open at 7 p.m.
    As PR Chairman Paula Duvenek says, "Those of us who register for the Young Women's retreat have something wonderful to look forward to. Each participant will enjoy spending time with friends, studying the Lord's Word, singing and praying in a large group, getting some exercise and generally decompressing from our busy lives.
    "I think the best thing about a retreat is that you simply register, pack an overnight bag, and show up.  Great - a mini vacation!  Yes, take a vacation from your regular life and worries and give them to the Lord!
    "Set aside this time to cultivate the most important relationship in your life - that with our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. We will gain a better understanding of our growoing faith, new friends and perhaps even a prayer partners."
    Plus:  attendees will be inspired by
    --Keynote speaker Karen Lippert, who will explore our "Tree-mendous Life" from a Biblical perspective.
    --Judy Henke who will share stories of her years spent in Bangkok, Thailand, as a missionary and her current work at the UW-Madison Friendship Center where she serves international students.
    --Our mission in action speaker, who will tell us stories about the use of one of our current mite grants.
    --Our discussion of Max Lucado's book, Traveling Light, which explores Psalm 23.
    --Our opportunities to enjoys crafts, making a bookmark, pictujre album or origame - or a "MOST" bracelet for LwMLers to use on mission trips to different countries.
    --Knowing that our ingathering of single vision eyeglasses for MOST Ministries will help people see clearly to read God's Word and live life more effectively.
    So, don't miss this retreat at Fox Hills at Mishicot - a really neat place.  Register now!
