From The Mountains Come Sounds of Joy!  LWML ladies from all corners of the South Wisconsin District will assemble at the 33rd biennial convention on June 18 & 19, 2010. All activities will be centered around our theme, “From the Mountains Come Sounds of Joy!” and will focus on Isaiah 55:12, "You will go out in joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands."

The convention will be held at the Wyndham Milwaukee Airport. Mike Tanney, LCMS Seminary Student with missionary experience, will be our featured speaker. Cynthia Khan from POBLO, People of the Book Lutheran Outreach will relate her experiences of mission work with ethnic ministries in the US.

There is significant business for the voting delegates to attend to those two days. They will decide which mission grants to support, select several ladies who will act as new vice presidents, and choose a pastor to serve as counselor. However, everyone who attends the 2010 convention will have the opportunity to participate in servant events, worship, enjoy fellowship, listen to speakers, view exhibits, and add their voices to the “Sounds of Joy” made by so many people gathered to praise our Lord. Most importantly, participants will learn more about what LWML does and how we can each contribute our time and talents to achieve the goals of LWML.
