The District’s Financial Taskforce established guidelines which have been approved by the Executive Committee and the Board of Directors. President Jan Dankwardt has since appointed the “TLC Application Review Committee” to implement these guidelines and begin awarding scholarships.

Confidentiality of all applicants, including those awarded scholarships, is a high priority; the only District personnel knowing their identities are the President and the event’s registrar. The Review Committee will rate each application on its individual merits and will not know the identity of any applicant. Those with the highest composite rating for each event will be awarded the scholarships. A limited number of scholarships will be awarded for each event. Details can be found on the application forms.

To promote fairness, the following postmark deadlines will be enforced for each event (forms received after these dates will not be considered):
Fall Retreats: June 30 the year of the retreat;
Young Women’s Retreats: October 31 the year before the retreat;
District Conventions: March 31 the year of the convention.

All applicants will be informed at least two weeks before the event’s early registration date as to whether or not they have been awarded scholarship money.
