1 John 3:18-19 is the foundation of our theme “Love… an Action Word!” You are invited to join us the weekend of June 22-23, 2012 on the beautiful campus of Concordia University, Mequon, as we celebrate the 65th anniversary of the first South Wisconsin District LWML convention. You will have many opportunities to demonstrate your love for others while you grow in your Christian faith. These two days will be filled with worship, servant opportunities, singing, Bible study, and time to spend in fellowship with others while enjoying the beauty of the shore of Lake Michigan. Rev. Dr. Daniel Paavola will lead us in Bible Study on Friday. Rev. Dr. Dien Ashley Taylor will not only lead us in song as we lift our voices to the Lord, but will be our keynote speaker for the weekend. We will hear from Katie Lane, former Concordia University student, as she describes her experience as a volunteer missionary with LCMS in Peru, and current Concordia University student, Natasha Weiss, who will speak to us about “Casas por Cristo”.
Whether you will be attending as a voting delegate, involved in the official business of SWD LWML, or as a member of the district, everyone will discover a way in which they can “demonstrate their love”…
