Being with Jesus - Living on the Edge. Convention is over but just as we Lutherans are taught to be Easter people, we LWML sisters can be proud to be Convention People! "For we cannot but speak the things which we have seen and heard" Acts 4:20. Those words jumped off the pages of scripture and into our hearts as we were led in worship by Dr. Ken Klaus, in Bible Study by Dr. Reed Lessing and through the addresses of Deb Burma, our Mites in Action (missionary) speakers and others. If you could not attend, you do have the ability to witness nearly all of the convention from your computer -- by visiting this page of the national LWML site: http://www.lwml.org/conventions/2011-peoria/videos/index.php There you will find the streaming video that was recorded during convention. Discover how our mites have benefited the children of East St. Louis, Chinese immigrants in Olivette, Missouri, and the people of the Philippines. Watch the Banner Processional, the Address of the President, Janice Wendorf and the Closing Remarks by Kay Kreklau, LWML President 2011-2015.
Incorporate the presentations into your Bible Study or a monthly society meeting. We all need to understand what it means to Be with Jesus and Live on the Edge! Catch the enthusiasm that was instilled and shared at Convention!
