Artists Encouraged to submit ideas by Oct. 1, 2005
National LWML is asking artists and designers to use their talents to submit a design for the logo for the 2007 national LWML convention in Sioux Falls, SD. Deadline for submission of entries is Oct. 1, 2005. The logo will be selected at the Executive Committee meeting later that month.
Here is the convention info:
Theme - Rock! Rest On Christ the King
Bible Reference - "In you, O Lord, I have taken refuge; let me never be put to shame; deliver me in your righteousness. Turn your ear to me, come quickly to my rescue, be my rock of refuge, a strong fortress to save me. Since you are my rock and my fortress, for the sake of your name lead and guide me." (Psalm 31:1-3)
Goal Statement - Secure in Jesus, my Rock and Fortress, I step out in faith to declare His praise and serve others.
Objectives - All convention attendees will:
--Rejoice in the security they find in God's Word and love
--Celebrate the oneness found in Jesus, our King.
--Confidently and boldly share the Gospel message.
--Be led and guided by the Lord to their personal avenues of service.
Other pertinent information:
--Convention location - Sioux Falls, SD, June 21-24, 2007
--Convention colors - Limit to 2 or 3 colors - bright!
--Logo will be used on the front of the convention manual, convention banner (this will be large), jewelry (this will be small), various publications, convention bag, and clothing.
Each entry should be on 11-1/2" x 17" paper in full color and can be folded once for mailing.
Include your name, address, phone and e-mail on the reverse side of your design.

The selected designer will be notified. No designs will be returned unless a self-addressed, stamped envelop is included with the original submission.
The selected logo will be an outright purchase of the LWML and as such LWML will retain all copyrights to the logo and will remain the property of LWML exclusively. Thank you for participating in this very special opportunity and for being Lutheran Women in Mission!
