Times are tough right now. The economy is in crisis. Many people are jobless and struggling to make ends meet. Communities are faced with the destruction of nature in the form of flooding, tornadoes, hurricanes and earthquakes. Families have lost everything, finding themselves in financial and personal distress. What good could possibly come from all of this turmoil?

In times of negativity, it is difficult to find the positive. St. Paul said it best in his letter to Romans when he told them to, “Rejoice in hope, be patient in tribulation, be constant in prayer.” Romans 12:12. Easier said than done, right? When you find your eyes shifting down to the ground in defeat of all that is wrong in your life try to lift up your chin and focus on the Cross and on Christ. Remember that the Lord is in control of your life. The turmoil and destruction of earth will someday come to an end, but Christ gives you the hope of eternal life where death and destruction are not allowed.

Join us on February 4 & 5 at the Lodge at Geneva Ridge in Lake Geneva for a reminder to Rejoice!! Keynote speaker Annetta Dellinger, a nationally renowned Christian speaker, author and self-proclaimed joyologist, will talk about all that we have to be happy about.

If you are feeling tired, worn out and hopeless, or even if you’re not, we invite you to come to the Young Women’s Retreat and cheer up!  There is no doubt you will leave feeling compelled to Rejoice!!
