FEED MY STARVING CHILDREN EVENT. HUNGER. I imagine this is something few of us have experienced. Since the devastating earthquake struck Haiti in January, children in Haiti are hungry and starving, with none of the opportunities we have to feed our own hunger. But now YOU can make a difference!
Sponsored by the non-profit Christian based organization ”Feed My Starving Children,” and with the backing of Palermo’s Pizza, Concordia University Mequon is hosting a two-day event to assemble over 300,000 packets of food specially formulated to provide nutrition for children. LWML has reserved these time slots for our LMWL sister to volunteer:
- Friday September 24th 5:00pm to 7:00 pm; OR
- Saturday September 25th 2:30 pm to 4:30 pm
The event will be held at Concordia University Wisconsin, 12800 N. Lake Shore Drive, Mequon, and we will be working in teams of 15. Your spouses, friends and children (older than 10, with an accompanying adult) are encouraged to sign up also. There is no cost involved to volunteer.
