SOUTH WISCONSIN DISTRICT LWML ANNOUNCES ITS MITE GOAL OF $200,000. At its convention on June 19, 2010, the delegates took a step of faith and approved raising the mite goal from $195,000 for the 2008-2010 biennium to $200,000 for the 2010-2012 biennium.
The Executive Committee had suggested setting the new goal at the same level of $195,000 since we were more than $12,000 short at the beginning of June. When the Board of Directors met on June 18, in spite of the deficit of funds, the women reached out in faith and adopted the higher goal, trusting that God would provide the funds to pay for all the mite projects.
Our new goal is $200,000; that means that $150,000 will stay right here in the South Wisconsin District and all of it will go to mite projects as no mite funds are used for administration. Fifty thousand dollars will be sent to national for our national mite projects.
MORE GOOD NEWS - WE HAVE MET OUR GOAL FOR 2008-2010.
God has blessed us richly and provided more than we asked. Right now we have an overage of $2,568.83 in our mite account. A check in the amount of $1,298.00 will be sent to Theological Education in Kazakhstan which will go to help pay the balance requested originally by them. Any amount over that will go to help with the national mites for 2009-2011.
PRAISE GOD FROM WHOM ALL BLESSINGS FLOW!
