LWML members are Lutheran Women in Mission.
Through the LWML, thousands of volunteers daily dedicate their lives to making a difference in this world. They prepare for this through prayer and interesting, encouraging Bible studies.
The LWML helps women of the Lutheran Church - Missouri Synod (LCMS) find avenues to use their God-given talents as they joyfully share the Good News of Jesus Christ with people far and near.
One of LWML’s primary means for carrying this out is through mite offerings donated by each member. These moneys fund mission grants – for the national LWML and also the South Wisconsin District LWML. See the list of current recipients.

 The 33rd biennial Lutheran Women's Missionary League national Convention was held June 25-28. Over 3,000 women, men, teens and kids gathered in Portland, Oregon, for four days of worship, Bible study, speakers and fun. Link to Convention Central.

Pictured below is President Jan Dankwardt presenting the check to Janice Ruge, from the Braille project at Workshop 100 in Sheboygan. Grant #5 is $6,000 to supply God's word by means of 1,714 plus volumes of Braille absolutely free.

There is a need for clerical shirts for 13 LCMS ordained pastors now leading the flock of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in Haiti. The average income for a Haitian is $400.00 per year. Pastors often are not paid and struggle to feed their own families. All schools in Haiti charge tuition, whether it is public or private school. Many of the pastors struggle just to have their children receive an education.
